This is a gotta have for more than just drummers!
Listening through this recording and I am really enjoying it. John's drumming is so in the pocket but still not just basic beats as he shows his chops and tastefulness as well. This is music "PEOPLE" not just a drummers recording to show off his stuff. The recording quality of all the instruments is very good, upfront, natural with excellent instrument placement and this makes listening to this recording even more enjoyable.
Amazing talent!
John is one of the most talented drummers in the business today. This project includes some of the best musicians in the industry and you won't be disappointed if you get it! I am still trying to figure out some of the chops on this CD.

BUY THIS ALBUM!!
I was at a 1/2 decade birthday party when this cool, jazzy cat handed me the JBP CD. The rules were simple: listen to the music and tell people about it. I can't stop playing the CD, nor can I stop telling the people how awesome these tunes are! Opening with a 15/8 groove?! WTF?! Awesomeness!!
Great music, great musicians, and of course exceptional production of this controversially delicious fusion-jazz-smooth-jazz-jammy-jazz album!
