Album Review
New York City DJ, Danny Krivit, has been spinning and mixing since 1977, and according to many house music purists, was one of the DJs that helped get the genre off the ground and running a decade later. He's been seen doing his thing at events dubbed "718 Sessions" (718 being the phone area code for Brooklyn, NY), which is also the name of his 2009 release. Similar to such modern-day DJs as Miguel Migs, Krivit merges funk-soul sounds with futuristic twists and turns throughout, resulting in what amounts to a seemingly never-ending dance party. The tunes may blend into each other and sound very similar, but that seems to be what dance aficionados look for when pick up a dance disc for their next gathering. 718 Sessions shows that one of the longest-running DJs is certainly still keeping pace with club music's younger generation.

Classic Krivit
I've been to Body & Soul, and followed Danny Krivit for years. This mix is classic material! I love his mixes on the "Expansions" double CD's and just like those mixes this 718 Sessions mix delivers Krivit's unique vision as a historic house DJ. If you've seen him spin, this CD will take you right back to the dancefloor. Thanks Danny!
Future Classics
Awesome collection of fantastic house tunes. These songs transport me back to the house glory-days of the 90's with their thick, classic bass lines, but still manage to be immediately fresh and totally new. Just a great, great collection of upbeat, hopeful house.
