best rap artist i

most rappers these days are just singing about getting with girls, and obtaining money. but this artist/rapper is so much more than the regular rap classification. he sings about his struggles and experiences. it's so heart wrenching and incredible, each song is filled with such emotion. grieves has been my favorite artist for a very very long time, and one of the few rappers i will listen to. this album is incredible. a must have :)

smart lyrics that make you think, moody beats. dont expect a slug or murs type story telling rap, but its just as good, just a different style. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, and grieves is easily one of my top three favorite artist. i appreciate the music, and this album

A Seattle-based rapper who is heavily influenced by the indie hip-hop duo Atmosphere, Grieves was born in Chicago. Thanks to his arts-loving father, he was introduced to the city’s jazz clubs at a young age, but after moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, he had to wait until he turned 19 to land in a city with a more suitable musical climate, Seattle.
