Customer Reviews

One of the Best of its Kind-Real Jazz combined with Funk/Soul!!!

The claim on the cover that this was released in 2006 is untrue. This was first released in the mid 70s and has been re-relased several times since. One of those chestnuts that never gets old. Funky, inventive and highly creative writing and playing by a group of master musicians. If you are like me, this will get many repeated plays for many a year to come. Try it, you'll like it!

Great Album

Olinga hit the nail right on the head. This is a great album featuring some outstanding musicians playing smooth and very listenable compositions. I wish that more of the late, great Joe Farrell's recordings on CTI - such as his masterpiece "Upon This Rock" were remastered. Maybe someday.
