Get after it, people!!
I can not get enough of this album! I've been anticipating Dessa's solo debut for years and it was definitely worth the wait. The Doomtree emcee has out done herself once again. This album is brilliantly composed. ABBC beautifully showcases Dessa's talent and diversity as a songwriter and storyteller. One moment your mind is running wild on clever wordplays and the next you completely entranced in the pure simplicity of it all. Her style is unique and refreshing. Song after song you'll find yourself pressing repeat just to soak in every last word. And don't worry all you DTR fans, this album is jam packed with the familiar stylings of the Doomtree alumni. ABBC will melt your face and make your heart explode. Listen.Share.Love.
Best Album of 2010?
What an amazing album. The writing is absolutely beautiful. Dessa paints exquisite images with her every word. I love the instrumentation. Each track has a unique vibe that somehow manages to make a cohesive album. I don't know that I've ever seen that done before, at least not this good. Dessa's voice is just pure emotion with a rhythm that can't be ignored. I LOVE this album and I love what this girl does.
