This Song Truly Means Alot
The day this song was released (November 22, 2006) was a sad day for my community in Massachusetts. An 8th grade student at our middle school named John Martin was struck by a car on his way to our high school's pep rally before a playoff game. That pep rally never took place as Police investigated the scene. John was taken to the hospital but later died as the night went on. He was only 13 years old. The Lyrics in this song make me feel sad but it helps me remeber John and how he was a friends to all of us. Rest In Peace John Martin. April 13, 1993 to November 22, 2006. We Will Always Remember.

Sorry to hear about your friend, one year on. This song is definitely a good one to remember him with. It is a sad tale, as we all know from the Elvis version. Orba Squara puts a mellow and melancholy twist on it, making a good song great.
A Cheerful Sadness
Once again, Orba Squara amazes with a beautiful final product. I used to believe that O.S. lacked the ability to pull off a sad song, but lo and behold---! I was proven wrong! The mixture of the bitter-sweet lyrics with the cheerful sound of O.S. really creates a "Blue Christmas" feeling that can both touch the heart and tickle the eardrums. Highly recommended: FIVE STARS!
