this record is amazing.
Breathtaking...
I wish I had more than 6000 characters to describe this talented new artist. Mariee has one of the most unique and beautiful voices I've heard in a while. Her clarity of voice and articulation of words makes listening to her songs easy and when one closes ones eyes... one is provided with vivid images filled with color, diminsion and escape. I feel like I'm in a dream.
Exaltant cries of haunting abandonment
A stripped down, unidealistic but graceful voice of the carnal latter-day remains of defeated society. Mariee carries the burdens of an entire century on Nevada City with her music. The melodies have come to life with eastward winds with words borne of the hillside soil. A truly great album.
