this is my favorite album and if you liked the first that handsome devil cd then you'll love this
Wear a helmet so you don't lose your brain after your mind is blown...
After hearing Elephant Bones off of Guitar Hero II, I bought the self-titled THD and was blown away... this band is unlike anything I have ever heard. I had EXTREMELY high expectations for this album... With that said, since A City Dressed In Dynamite arrived in my mailbox three weeks ago, it has not left my CD player. I also bought the exclusive bonus tracks from iTunes. Godforbid sounds like the washed-up, pill-popping, alcoholic retired lounge singer we all wish we could grow up to be and his voice will take you through one of the darkest, most hilariously demented carnival you could imagine. The band is highly skilled in a slew of styles and rip through them seamlessly. If anything, get Rob The Prez-O-Dent, Mexico, and Viva Discordia to get your friends' jaws to break through the floor. If you want to never listen to anything else again because it just simply isn't the post-apocalyptic FUTURE of music... buy it. Now. Stop reading and buy... seriously.
Awesome
This is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. It doesn't have something up to caliber as Elephant Bones, but it's got a sound that is very avant-garde, and songs like Viva Discordia can be on repeat for hours without it getting old.
