Album Review
Dave Brubeck covers a host of favorite carols on this solo outing. His chime-like "Joy to the World" and striding "Winter Wonderland" are treasures. His festive opening version of "Jingle Bells" contrasts with the weary version signaling the end of an evening's festivities; anyone who has ever worked a holiday party will relate to it. His originals include the delightful "Run, Run, Run to Bethlehem" and the meditative "To Us Is Given." This is a Christmas CD worth repeated hearings.

A Must Have
If you donot have this in your holiday collection - get it. Its great classic Brubeck just him and his piano. Its one of my top three albums for the holiday season.
Perfect Holiday cd
The songs are simple and classic tunes, great for a party or just because. This cd is on my "must" list for the Holiday season.
A Dave Brubeck Christmas
At almost 80 years , Dave Brubeck continues to have a wonderful touch on the piano. I heard "Silent Night" on our local Chicago area jazz station, WDCB, and downloaded it. I have been a Brubeck fan for 40 or more years and these piano solos show that the "Senior Brubeck" remains an excellent musician.
