Exciting and solid debut. Prolific and always relevant, if not ahead of his time. Intelligent lyricism. Amazing production on the whole record. Mixed very well. Don't sleep on the catalog, crew material, guest appearances, or the future. Track down any prior releases you can locate and find this guy online (TokiWrightDOTCOM) for consistently good music. If you're on the fence about paying for media (gasp), sample/stream these tracks right here & now in iTunes, because it's the mythical "full length album worth paying for": Devil's Advocate, Poison Ivy, Truth or Dare, Get Up, More Fiya, Next Best Thing, The Feeling, Good, State of Emergency, Little Girl, and the sure to be talked about title track: A Different Mirror. Do yourself a favor either way and google Toki Wright...

Toki Wright is the homey and the mentor. I performed at and attended his in-store performance at Fifth Element on his release date in Uptown Minneapolis. It was truly a dope experience. Y’all should definitely get it. The SoulTools production on it is CRAZY ILL! Big Ups Toki!

Just one good song after another by one of my new favorite artist.The talent that comes out of this city is unreal.If your not sure about the whopping $8 this album will run you check out: More Fiya,Devil's Advocate,Next Best Thing, or The Feeling.The Feeling is a song I listen to and restart it too hear it again because it is that good.Thank you Minneapolis for saving hip hop.
