Just what the doctor ordered
by

In a world where the music industry has become ill from hearing the same thing with a different name, sosaveme's "a ghost at sea" has rushed onto the scene to give listeners a shot in the arm. Luckily, they brought just what the doctor ordered: a dose of refreshingly new sound that leaves the patient with feelings of hope and excitement. However, beware, for the side effects include the likelyhood of wanting to hear more, positive emotions and may even lead to addiction. Ask your local Sosaveme fan or watch for them coming to a city near you to experience this all-natural, life enhancing suppliment, "a ghost at sea". Sosaveme: "we strive to reflect our hearts, our failure and our triumphs."

A Ghost at Sea is literally a perfect album. Rarely do you encounter one of those special albums that just gets better and better as you listen to it. The disc starts with eery ambient bowed guitar, gang vocals, and massive drums then launches into the single The Death of Adam which will grip you from the first note. From the Surface is a crowd favorite at shows and displays some impressive guitar and bass work as well as an instantly sing a long able melody. The 4th track, Colossus, features a fantastic chorus, huge build up, and truly impressive guitar tapping from guitarist Justin Ozanich. Interlude, the 5th tack, will bring you to tears if you listen to the lyrics and the heartfelt delivery by vocalist Nicholas Pidek. Lullabies is a standout track. The lyrics "lets stop to hear the lullabies of demons singing us to sleep, singing us to sleep" paint the picture that we are all being lulled to sleep and led astray from the truth which is calling out to us. The Crafty Harlot, the 7th track, is another strong track and features fantastic vocal work and thought provoking lyrics. Love Takes part 1 and 2 is a moving opus of a song that will truly take you places. The song relies on incredible lyrics and a strong groove from drummer/vocalist/lyricist Jon Moore. The gang vocals blow the song through the roof. The Sea and Hallelujah are the climax of the album and deliver the final bang to push it over the top. The song, complete with cello and chori, will leave you in tears. A Ghost at Sea from Sosaveme is a masterful album from a young emerging band that will surely gain major attention in the coming year. If you are looking for an album that will transport you to another place emotionally as well as provide you with an amazing sonic experience pick this one up. Jump on board before these guys get huge - which will probably be quick!
