What a remarkable work!
Although I'm definitely interested in the sciences, I am also a huge music snob. I have never heard a song that is so rewarding both as a paean to the complicated, elegant beauty of the natural world and also as a standalone piece of music. What craftsmanship! Melody, harmony, dynamics, structure...it's all aces. Well done, John Boswell! And thanks Carl Sagan, for inspiring such a great piece of work.
