Ready to join the Circus?

While perhaps not quite as good as their later two-disc opus Flapjacks from the Sky, Good Thief is still filled with songs that contain great lyrics, excellent musicianship, and the fun weirdness that Gandalf Murphy is known for. Most of the songs are fun to listen to (with the exception of a few dull ones), and Good Thief makes a good starting point for new fans of the band. If you haven't heard them before, this album will make you want to join the Circus.
