A Little River Band Christmas
While this is not a new album per se (it is essentially 2008's We Call It Christmas with the addition of We Three Kings and O Little Town of Bethlehem minus You Make it Feel Like Christmas), I have to rate it 4 out of 5 stars. Avid LRB fans will recognize the trademark harmonies and light rock sounds. And although this album does not feature the classic band members like Glenn Shorrock, Beeb Birtles and Graham Goble, longtime members Wayne Nelson, Stephen Housden and new musicians capture the spirit of the band impecably. The song selection is unique as well. Many of these songs I was unfamiliar with and others are great remakes of better known Christmas songs. Take a listen to these samples on itunes and I'm sure you'll want to add this album to your Christmas music collection.
