Intelligent, Honest, Bold, Courageous ,Banging Beats
Element is an artist that defines his music in an interesting way in the sense that the primordial essence of Hip-Hop remains but the beats, flow, and swagger have been tweaked into his own. To me there is a strong influence from early Jay-Z, Jedi Mind Tricks, and The Pharcyde but also has a touch of more contemporary artist like Black Milk and Lupe Fiasco. Element's story can be explained in his music. He tells the story of his family life, relationships, hardships, and conflict within society. Long Story Short might be the best compilation of Element and Abstrakt Sounds so far. The beats are not only exciting and original but his ability to get his honest emotion across in each track compels the listener to fall into his music with a deeper attachment. Every album so far has impressed me. I believe he might be one of best Hip-Hop musicians of our time.
