Clearly a talented new artist. Great album!
A Million Fires
This is an arresting debut album, both is sound, subtlety, soulfulness and intelligence. Jenn Grauer has a throw-back type voice and sound that is both classic and at the same time very contemporary. Ms. Grauer writes songs that speak to the heart, and to things on each of our minds; they are sleek and sexy, not bombastic or overproduced. I remember first hearing certain artists -- Adele, Sara Barreilles, Missy Higgins -- and thinking there was such a special quality to their music. While I do not compare Jenn Grauer to these fine artists, primarily because her sound and talent are unique in their own right, the same "wow" factor and star power is front and center. This young artist has a brilliant future ahead of her.
