Chop-Fest
I love this CD! Lance has a way of not just coming up with good melody, but weaving a melodic tapestry with his voice. On top of that, this cd has some of the tastiest guitar work (ala Symphony X) that I've heard in a while.
Just OK
Lance has an excellent voice and his previous work with Pyramaze was nothing short of metal perfection. This work however, unfortunatly doesnt represent his full potential.
The voice is still there but lacks the aggression and passion as heard on his album "Meloncholy Beast". I consider this a "ok" album and all metal fans should at least give it a consideration, however for fans of metal looking to hear his talents unleashed to the full will be blown away by his work with Pyramaz titled "Meloncholy Beast" as well as "Legend of the Bone Carver". You simply cannot compare this work with those mentioned.
Album of the year
Lance's solo album proves why he is one of the best in the industry. I have several albums from his other projects Avian: Ashes to Madness, Pyramaze: Legend of the Bonecarver and Melancholy Beast. I didn't think it was possible, but this is by far his best work to date. His voice is the strongest I have heard. This album is more than just great vocals though, the riffs and lead work are absolutely phenomial. Finally, the mixing of this album is perfect.
Another thing you need to know is that profits from this album go to Not For Sale. A charity that seeks to abolish human tracking and slavery!
