These 'Britpop survivors' are still alive!
Always awesome to see good bands from 10-15 years ago still around making records; similar experience with Trashcan Sinatras' new album this year. I'd say this album is as good as anything the Bluetones have ever done, and they definitely stay true to their familiar group sound and sense of pop melody. A few stronger key tracks make this album good, where it might have otherwise been lacking. "Carry Me Home" is definitely my favourite track on the album, and I'd also put "Firefly", "Into The Red", and "Half The Size Of Nothing" among the best. Overall a strong album, definitely worth a listen if not purchased in full.
