Awesome!
A New Beginning is great! It's hard for me to find an album that I can listen to all the way through, but each song on this album is very different from the one before it and no tracks get skipped when I listen to it. Definitely buy this album!
Awsome talent and performer
I saw Cheeks at Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, Ky. about a week ago. I loved the sound of his music and the way he played. He is an awesome talent. There was no way I was walking out without buying his album. I have been listening to it nonstop since I bought it. Everyone that has heard it, has like it. Don't worry Cheeks, I won't burn them a copy I tell them to go and buy it and now that I know it's on here I will spread the word. Good luck.
Cheeks McGee
Cheeks Mcgee is one of the most original and creative artists to crop up in a long time. I've seen him live twice now, and I'll see him again april 5th at Culver-Stockton College's Hillstock. His live shows are always fun, partly because of his dynamic personality and abundant charisma, and partly because of the way his songs are played. He doesn't play each tune so much as he "builds" them, adding a part at a time through a looping station so that he can sing, play guitar, play two trumpet parts, and harmonize at the same time. It's a truly unique process that's a thrill to watch and to here.
