What an exquisite discovery!!
After hearing a few selections from this recording on XM Radio's Classical Christmas channel while driving in my car, I was inspired to look for this particular collection of music as quickly as I could. It is beautifully performed and recorded and will be a favorite in my collection. I will also be sharing this with fellow choral directors who may not have heard it. This is "required listening" for all singers!!! "Bells Rang Early In Jerusalem" is one of my favorites. Enjoy.
Exquisite
I am a former TAMU Century Singer and we sang "The Legend" in my last concert. It was such an incredible song that I thought I would try to find it on iTunes. I initially only bought the song, but several months later I bought the rest of this album. This truly is remarkable music. The words are clear and crisp and the wide range of voices is impressive. Being a bass, I am particularly impressed with the bass section. There are a few basses that if you don't listen closely, you won't catch them, but if you do listen for them, you will be blown away. Buy this album. You will not regret it. When so much of the Christmas season is inundated with secular pop Christmas music, it is very refreshing to hear sacred choral music of this caliber.
