Solid follow up

Solid follow up to their previous EP's and full lengths. A lot of time and energy was put into crafting the songs. Beautiful harmonies both vocally and on guitar. Great job of guest instruments such as violin. Lead vocalist Dan Armbruster's vocals shine in a world of sub-par singers. The drums are somewhat difficult, complicated, and unique, yet they flow with the music beautifully and are very easy to listen to. Guitar work is cleverly crafted and as mentioned before, the harmonies are excellent. The bass lines are solidly written and it's nice to hear a bassist who can actually play his instrument instead of playing whatever chords the guitar is playing constantly. Definetely get this album. A+

beastly

this song is uber sick man. This band must be super cereal about there music. they will be uber big in the future man. 5 stars baby

they're going to be huge

It's always a good thing when you can call something "fun". It's better when you can call it "super-fun". The Hoodies are super-fun. For goodness sakes, they're called "The Hoodies"...how can that not be fun and exciting and fresh? Although their sound has certainly been heard before, they know what they're doing, and they sure do it well. "Old Friends" is the perfect start to this record and I wish it was longer so I can enjoy its perfection just a few minutes longer. The rest of it is what this record should be...they don't hide anything and the music isn't pretentious. It's raw, yet polished, which is awfully difficult to accomplish. Overall, this record's a huge success. Wait a few months. These guys are going to blow up.

Biography

Formed: 2002 in Rochester, NY

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '00s

Although the band formed in 2002, lineup changes and early bugs kept the Hoodies from really getting rolling until 2004. The Hoodies — former high-school friends and acquaintances Dan Armbruster (vocals and guitar), Joe Morinelli (guitars), Brandon Desormeaux (bass), and Paul Brenner (drums) — got their start in Rochester, NY, and released their full-length (by their own means) Karma Is a Boomerang in 2005. In 2006 the band then released its follow-up, Endings. Boosting their success...
