Lovely Images and Heartfelt Emotion
School for the Dead have created a lovely album full of beautiful images and heartfelt emotion. When I listen to this, I imagine the lush roads of Western Massachusetts, the weather turning a bit cooler. It'll be school time soon, and all the feelings that it brings rush to the surface. These songs make me think of that time in a person's life. There are wistful songs ("Map", "Back to School"), and up-beat defiant songs ("Disgruntled Lover", "Journal of Lies", "Periscope"). Every track is a treat of lyric-writing and music-making. I enjoy the album greatly. I hope you will too.
