If you loved Yankee Doodle Dandy...
...you will hate this. Very poor arrangements; all of the warmth and depth of Cohan's chord progressions and voicings are ignored in this hack-job. Awful.
Al Jolson sings Cohan!
Nobody got this in the reviews here....but these are actually recordings of the great Al Jolson! He was Huge in America in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. And this is all of his stuff. For some reason, it's not listed this way. Check out some of his videos on Utube.
George......What A Guy
I think it's great someone's made a tribute to George M. Cohan! (And i'm not just saying that because i'm in "Give My Regards To Broadway"). It's a little wierd without the original broadway cast recordings of the song, but it's still great.
