Abnormal and fine
You know: It's hard not to drag assumptions about your mental image of bfoot from his older stuff into his new music. I have been doing this with every album he's put out for a while. Abnormal, however, jolted me, making me realize this. When I listened to it for the first time, I was forced into just taking it for what it was...nothing more, no stealing ideas from the past for prejudices now. I think that's what Ron wants us to do. And he also wants us to enjoy a balanced diet of snap instrumentation with cracklin' vox that result in a musical POP to rattle your senses for days. Whether you're an insane long-term bfoot fan like me or just a gnr junkie seeking a new fix, buy this album now. (i hope this made enough sense) take care, all. ~TS
Another great album from BBF
Just another powerful album from Ron. He really takes his vocal skills to new levels and his guitar playing is tight as always. My favorite so far is Simple Days. Definetly check out his album Normal too.
Once again...
Although it took me a while to appreciate this album to the fullest, Abnormal is a fantastic follow-up to Normal, and Thal's experimentation with the metal genre has produced unique results. Even so, he has still managed to turn out some catchy tunes, like Glad to Be Here and Jenny B. An excellent album!!
