Scott Reitherman is one groovy cat.
Great, fantastic, wonderful EP. The 30-second clips really don't do any kind of justice for the tunes, which tend to shift tempos, chords and styles all in the span of three minutes to excellent effect. They'll also grow on you faster than mold in the fridge... Uh, gross. Sorry, maybe something more appetizing than that? Two songs from Moonbeams (his debut, out in February) and one new one that will hold you over for a couple of months until the world becomes just a little bit better in 2008.
Exquisitely unique.
There's something paradoxical about these songs, particularly About to Walk. They are at the same time extraordinarily complex and evocative of naivete. Can't wait for the album release next week.
