Above These City Lights
Every time I hear a Rich Mullins song, my heart mourns and rejoices at the same time. I feel loss and peace together. Andrew did a great job with "Calling out Your Name." Rich would have approved. Great Cd.
Surprise!
This album snuck up on me (thanks iTunes alerts) but it is a wonderful surprise. I am not usually a fan of any live albums, however this is an exception. Great playlist, very clean recording quality, and a phenomenal cover of Rich Mullins' Calling out your name make this a must listen.
Above These City Lights
Above These City Lights will have you in tears, it is so beautiful and tender. Andrew's gentle, loving version of "Calling Out your Name" is perfect. It will bring you to your knees in wondrous delight of God's beauty!
His "Planting Trees" intro will have you grinning foolishly, and the song itself will melt your heart. It, of course, makes one wish that Jamie Peterson was their best friend, or at least a good enough acquaintance that one could pick her brain on mothering without seeming like a stalker. :) The song is so real and lovely. Thanks for writing it Andrew.
Each song has it's own unique story and Andrew Peterson is the master storyteller; sharing the deep and miraculous story of the Maker.
I'm not a review writer, but I am a mom and this album is falling on joyful hearts today! My three year old is a fan and I can see his eyes light up with the wonder that is the Holy Spirit as it sings to his heart! Get this album. You shall not regret it.
