Great record from the über-talented artist Harry Green!
The Sleepers is a solo project from NYC singer/songwriter Harry Green. This record really shows Green’s versatility as a songwriter and a musician and provides the listener a glimpse into the influences and sensibilities that shaped his later work. He moves fairly effortlessly between anthemic rock tunes like “The Accidental Star” to more introspective, acoustic ballads such as “Grey,” and even explores newer, pop fusion sounds on songs like “Shrug.” I think my favorite tune on the record is the country song “Alief,” which I swear could be a crossover radio hit. Overall, this record is a great rare find from an truly up and coming artist.
