They are more than just cogs in the machine,
But vibrant beings that can touch the God within. 10 Years have arrived just in time to counteract the cynicism and to take rock music to its next logical destination. "Humanity is slowly shutting down," says the band's frontman Jesse Hasek, who points to the current rock scene as a prime example of this lack of community. Nice change up, but...
...loses a little something in translation. Still a fantastic album, though. I love 10 Years, and have been a fan of theirs since their days on Garageband.com, so I have all the love in the world for them. But, their music is so powerful that shifting gears to an acoustic EP doesn't measure up as well. The piano version of "Autumn Effect" (the song) was fantastic. I'd jump at an entire album done in the same way. I'm just not as crazy about this acoustic version.
Absolutly Amazing!
10 years have come out with some of those accustic versions in their earlier CD, Killing All That Holds You. BUT, this version's sound is a lot smoother, and clean, and they there's a difference between them . Their moving lyrics and ryhthim is even more clear, Jesse's strong voice still leaves the listener breathless.It's a must have!
