Liking what I hear. Can't wait for Deconstruction.
First of all I love it when an artist goes outside of their comfort zone and does a concept album, though they are growing more and more popular it seems. Even so, this album is definitely one of Devin's best. I have been listening to him for only a few years now. I have the Ziltoid album, the Ki album, and the Sychestra albums....but this. This is more toward my type of music. I always knew that Devins was one of those artists that could do many different styles if he put his mind to it. (not just thrash metal with SYL and then his own personal style, but everything metal). What he has created her is a great progressive metal album. I LOVE THE NEW HYPERDRIVE TRACK. (Same feel, a tad bit more metal, and a sexy female vocal track to spice it up). I can only imagine that "Deconstruction" will be a highly mixed Devin with crazy thrash techno beats and stuff. (Somewhat simalar to the one NIN did). This is a promising artist overall. Reminds me of buckethead, only without the bucket and without so much idiocracy lol. Purely refreshing overall. 5 Stars
