Fresh! Real! from the heart. There should be more music like this vibrating the world. For every revolution there needs to be a leader. For change to happen there must be a catalyst. Derrick Ashong may just be that leader, catalyst, change agent for the music industry. Listen, tell a friend, listen again. The listening is so rewarding you just may forget to tell the friends.
Seriously fun album!!
I can't tell you how much enjoyed this album!! It immediately made my happy (like 10 seconds into the prelude). I highly recommend "Easy Does It" (think Gregory Isaacs at his best), the funkadelic "FInd a Man," the haunting "Trapped in My Heart," and "Never Know Why."
Serious Afro-diasporic Deliciousness
This album is an epic musical journey across Afro-diasporic styles, performed by a band with soul, chops and a powerful message. "Another Day" is one of my favorite songs ever. It is time for this band to get the recognition they have deserved for so long!
