very different but very chill
Great chill music. Exceptionally combines a number of musical genres into a very unique sound not seem often with current singer-songwriters today. Very simplistic in his melodies in the guitar although he adds a great sense percussion in the instrument as well. This combined with strong witty lyrics make a very solid music experience. My fave so far is Drunkin' Ramble. YouTube has a performance of his (The Right Groove not on CD) which is money as well.

This is one that I can just let loop on repeat for hours on end. If you like Jon & Roy, you will like this one. While there is a similar sound, Jon Middleton's solo work does have a distinctly different vibe.
I definitely feel this is an album, not a bunch of singles under a common label. In other words, turn off the shuffle and just let it flow as the artist intended.
For those not familiar with Jon Middleton's style, it is all acoustic, not a wide vocal range, with tons of influences. He effectively blends together blues, reggae, rap, folk, and probably a few more as well. Just sit back and let it soak in, it is a great experience!
