A decent debut

Reminiscent of Watermark or a quieter Caroline Cobb, this album is great for relaxing and praising, with positive messages. Their faster-paced songs are my favorites on this album- "Fight or Flight", "Holy Healer", "Song of Sacrifice" and "Run". I've seen these folks perform live, and am looking forward to their second album, which has even more promise than the first. Check out "The Apple of My Eye" video on their website and you'll see what I'm talking about! Can't wait for album #2!

The husband and wife team of Nathan and Jenna Strong have assembled a strong set of compositions for their first project. In "Run," Nathan and Jenna adapt Isaiah 40:31 to give us a powerful message, "I want to run deep into Your presence until there's nothing left of me." Jenna lends a haunting background chant in the middle of the song in which she states, "Make my running steps into a dance, that's what these legs are for; my eyes long for Your radiance, I need You more and more." Download this. After The Chase combines a unique blend of acoustic instruments including piano, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, violin, and congas with the organ, drums and bass to yield a very pleasing musical experience. Jenna's vocals are strong and beautiful, blending ever-so-tightly with Nathan's melodic voice. One of my personal favorites is "Come Take Your Chances," in which God speaks to a person who has experienced too many relationship failures: "I know you're just worn out from giving too much of yourself. I've watched you for many years now - you've put your heart on a shelf. But oh, you've been searching for a love you can touch, but everyone that you find just can't love enough. So come take your chances...(with Me)." This is a great evangelistic tune with a catchy beat which will have you dancing through the kitchen as you sing along. Be sure to download this one, too! If you're all about easy, pleasing music with a heartfelt message, After The Chase is well worth every penny!

Amazing

I have worked with jenna on a musical she helped choreograph that I was in. She was extremely helpful and has a great personality. Nathan is great too, I saw them in concert. This Cd is definitely worth every dollar. I love their music.
