Album Review

Like 1999's multi-platinum-selling Mirrorball, Afterglow Live relies on the breathy Canadian's fluid and faultless vocals and performances — by McLachlan and band alike — that are so spot-on that they may well have been cut in the studio. The recording follows the singer through her summer tour, a jaunt that ended up in her hometown of Vancouver. The 15 tracks are culled from a pair of shows in Toronto. While heavy on material from the 2003 release that gives the record its name, McLachlan classics like "Building a Mystery" and "Sweet Surrender" sound as reliable as ever, but the real meat here is the accompanying 23-track DVD that features behind-the-scenes footage, live performances, and videos.

Live is Better

Sarah has brought so much to the music industry for singer/songwriters. So many hits, only made better by being played live. She has accentuated the live music venue for many of us, and i reccomend this album above many others.

Afterglow Live

I've had this CD for a while. I wanted to import it, but it won't play on my computer in Media Player or iTunes player. And I knew it wouldn't play on my iPod. Anyways, I found this CD amazing. I was just disappointed that Apple cut out the concert sounds. Like after Sarah finished playing World On Fire, she said Thank You very much. Well not on here. Other than that, I have no additional complaints about this CD.
