Absolutely beautiful.
The title says it all... each individual song is beautifully composed and interwoven with lovely melodies and harmonies. It's incredibly soothing, and even evokes a sense of nostalgia... and I'm only 16! The piano, guitar, and other instruments sound so lovely together, I can't believe more people haven't bought and reviewed this album.
The only issue I have, which may not be a problem with older listeners, is that there is an incredibly high-pitched sound heard in Landscape and Nostalgia that mostly goes with the music, and is very loud and irritating to my ears (in Nostalgia, there's more than one pitch so it's slightly less irritating). I've listened to it on both my computer and my iPod, so I know its not just my speakers. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it's really grating and somewhat out of place.
Aside from that, however, this album is simply amazing.
Perfect.
You either like this style of music or you don't. If you do, this is, in my opinion, one of the very best. A dynamite collaboration of two fantastic artists. This CD introduced me to this style of sound and I have been searching for something as good ever since. They take many chances in style, form and time and it all pays off for the listener. This music seems to defy the boundaries and break the rules, yet Kosemura & Nakamura manage to not only make it beautiful, but create some new rules of thier own along the way. Solid work.
