No sophmore blues here....Great Job!
Kem's second CD, while excellent, is not on the same level as Kemistry. However, I still recommend purchasing the entire CD.
Still Smooth
I just saw Kem in concert in Columbus, Ohio and realized that he is still growing as an artist. While his first CD was an introduction of his genius, Kem II touchs you in ways that you don't understand until you see him live! A lot of artists that have a hit with their first album stay with the same fomula on the second project, but Kem has managed to expand on it. And he keeps God first! You got to have this one for the collection, he maybe the Luther of the Millinium!
I may be biased but....
...Kem is great! I have his first album, and while there has been growth in the material he sings about, I'm glad he stuck with the formula that had "Love Calls" at the top of the Adult Contemporary charts! This is an album you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track, I recommend using repeat on your stereo or iPod, because its just that good. Stand out tracks for me are: I'm In Love, I Get Lifted, Find Your Way, oh wait--the whole album is stand out so there's no need to write anymore.
