Album Review

Released one year after the departure of founding member Steve Page, All in Good Time finds the Barenaked Ladies operating as a quartet for the first time in 14 years. With distribution by EMI, the album also marks a return to the majors for the group, which spent the previous five years releasing albums on its own label.

Bnl needs to find there way back

Not the best the old stuff is better but they had a tuff year so they mite find there way back, ed is one of my Fav artist but they need to find there way back to the old days and they can do it even with out Stevan.

Last thing I expected

Last band I thought would sellout.

Still The Band I Know And Love.

I admit I was really nervous about the departure of Steven Page. And although I do miss him very much, I think BNL will be fine without him. The sound is not drastically different, and the lyrics are still sparkling. Ed Robertson is wonderful as always, and I'm glad he can showcase what he can do. Let me also add that Jim Creeggan had a lovely voice and really adds something to the band. Kevin Hearn isn't really my cup of tea, but it's good that everyone gets to be heard in this album. Some of the tracks are stronger than others, like You Run Away (Ed) , Every Subway Car (Ed) , and I Saw It (Jim) . If you're a longtime BNL fan like I am, then purchase this entire album to add to your collection. If you're just getting introduced to them, check out their earlier CDs first, which are just the best.
