My Personal Opinion....

Last year this time, I was fangirling over "Suddenly Yours," so excited that my favorite band was coming out with their first full length album. One year later, my feelings have completely changed.

Over the past year, their music has become more superficial, just as the boys have. I miss the days when I could call them up on SayNow and yell into the phone with excitement while my dad yells at me in the background. I miss traveling for them, and the boys staying around after the show to meet every single fan.

But the times have changed, and this is where their band is going. Would I like to go back to the 2010 version of Allstar? Of course. Nevertheless, I wish them success, and you'll still see me at your headlining tour, waiting out back at the end of the show, always hoping that things could be the way they used to.

Everything I could have hoped for, and more.

So here it is. The album we've been waiting for, for so long. The release date pushed back months later than originally planned. I built up so many expectations for this album, it was probably unhealthy. But they were all exceeded, far, far past what I thought. Allstar Weekend has spent so much time trying to break away from people thinking they're "Disney" and this album...This album is that breakaway thing that they need. It has a maturity to it that their older music does not have, without changing who they are as a band. They've transitioned completely out of that radio Disney pop-y stage that they might have stuck themselves in, and into a fresh, contemporary, beautiful place out in the music world. This album has little touches of everything - heartbreak, being in love, friendship, partying like it's not your birthday...The songs paint their own pictures in vivid colors that only the boys' homestate of California could produce. "I, I am in love, so much in love" with All The Way, and I couldn't possibly be prouder of my boys, the wonderful Allstar Weekend. If you've heard Allstar Weekend's music and loved it, listen to this. If you've heard Allstar Weekend's music and hated it, listen to this. If you haven't ever heard Allstar Weekend's music, listen to this. Give All The Way - and Allstar Weekend - a chance, because this album is a catchy, fun, fantastic product of months and months of hard work by a band that means the world to me.

The emo pop quartet Allstar Weekend was formed in 2007 by Zachary Porter (vocals), Nathan Darmody (guitar), Cameron Quiseng (bass), and Michael Martinez (drums) in San Diego, California, while all four members were still in high school.
