Wax Idols began in 2011 as the solo vehicle for Bay Area musician Heather Fedewa, aka Hether Fortune. Fedewa had been working as musician-around-town in the garage/punk scene, doing time as a member of Hunx & His Punx and Bare Wires for a time, and also actively working with Blasted Canyons at the time of Wax Idols' inception.
