A wonderful journey
This song cycle is absolutely stunning, Georgia Stitt has an uncanny talent for setting text and music together in a brilliant way that really showcases the voice and puts a huge focus on storytelling. This album is a MUST HAVE, soprano Kate Baldwin handles this material with beautiful sensitivity, and a serene honestly that shines through even in a recording.

A Must Have
I saw Kate Baldwin perform one or two of these songs a few years ago and remember wishing I could see them all. This is an absolutely beautiful recording - not quite musical theater and not quite art song, but an amazing blend of the two. Pairing together Georgia Stitt and Marcy Heisler is sort of unexpected, but clearly a wonderful addition to the collaborations in the NY musical theater scene. I truely hope there is more to come from them. Anyone who follows contemporary musical theater should own this cycle.
