A VOICE TO RECKON WITH
The production is thoughtful, solid, well-crafted, esp on the original & Morel mixes...across the board a nice spectrum of styles, but I'd like to see even more flexibility in the way of interpretation. For electronica/club music, the political & social content is quite provocative. There are a great many "message" songs that transcend the boundaries of the dance floor & airwaves; and you don't have to listen to mindless crap all the time, unless you're opposed to expanding your horizons. I've heard top 10 pop songs that are completely inept when it comes to production & content, yet the "success' of the song seems to hinder on the fast-food trailer-park tastes of the comatose masses. Not everyone is an idiot, however, musically or otherwise...so if you can look at things with more artistic or intellectual flexibility than George W Bush, you might be able to appreciate this!

Great dance tune! Every remix brings something to the party giving the song a different flavor. AND THEY ALL WORK!! Great comentary on US culture too. Nothing like a little anarchy with your BPM's!!! DJ Reed does it again! Buy this, you won't be sorry.

It's rare that one hears a club dance track with a real point, vision, or honest view of consumerism and the American lifestyle. This is one of those tracks. Smart, dance-able and with 10 very different and great mixes. "American Idle is a way of life... Is it really living??" Great work.
