A timeless classic
this is golden era hip hop. Kurius still got it, Supastar Dave Dar killed it, bangin soulful beats. Feel good music.
American Jibaro by Bamboo Bros.
This album is a great representation of how good hip-hop music can still be in 2011and beyond when created by artists with a deep love and true devotion for this art form. This music was constructed with genuine care and passion that needs to be heard by anyone seeking a quality album containing solid wall to wall production as a backdrop to wide ranging subject matter with the power and potential to reach people from all walks of life. If anybody reading this has been left disappointed with the hip-hop genre as of the last ten years or so but not quite yet to the point of total disgust and/or abandonment, buy this album and realize that there are still many artists like the Bamboo Bros. out there keeping the flame burning. If you REALLY love hip-hop music, you will definitely enjoy this album and that's real talk. Peace.
Outstanding!
This album speaks to a segment in Hip-Hop that has been overlooked by the industry for far too long: The socially conscious Latino Americano indie movement. I'm sure that the album was made for Hip-Hop fans as a whole, but it has that extra bit of "sazón" that makes me feel it was made just for me. The album was well put together and isn't over-saturated with features of other artists. You can tell that Jorge's rhyme patterns have elevated over the years & Dave's studio experience shines through. This album is exactly what I needed to kick off the summer! Good job fellas.
