Eh

Good, but they completely went mainstream pop in this album. With or without deuce you guys need to go back to the old style

Needs Deuce

Deuce needs to come back... the new chorus singer sounds like a little girl... and they autotuned the crap out of his voice. It ruined the album for me.

What?

For those of you who think that this sounds JUST LIKE Swan Songs, wake up. Before Deuce "left," the choruses had actually meaning. Now it's so repeptitive that it gives me a headache. Take "Glory" for example. The lyrics are great...until the chorus. I'm not hating on Danny, I'm hating on the LACK OF TALENT AND SKILL used to write these choruses. And "Bullet" sounds nothing like the HU I saw in 2009. The HU that believed in putting on a good show while still making a point and moving people. Don't even get me started on all the autotuning. The HU I knew didn't use loads of autotune to make their music tolerable. This album failed to mix fun and serious music. Swan Songs was simply amazing in the way they could change from a fun song to a serious song. I honestly laughed at "Apologize" because it reminded me of "Everywhere I Go." That's HU I want to see back. But if they're going to use autotune like this on every album, I give up. I used to be HU4L, but now, what's the point?

Biography

Formed: June, 2005 in Hollywood, CA

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Hollywood Undead hail (unsurprisingly) from the streets of Hollywood, California, mixing brash hip-hop, rock, and minor metalcore touches with cocky posturing and thug attitudes. Owing much of its popularity and exposure to the social networking monster MySpace, the group — whose members usually wear masks on-stage — started as the musical project of J-Dog and Tha Producer in June 2005. They uploaded some new music to their profile and very quickly started amassing song plays and online...
