Los Angeles’ masked and costumed rapcore sextet deliver a 10-track post-production remix of its 2011 sophomore album, American Tragedy. The first cut was retooled by Steve Cornish and Nick Mace (a.k.a. Digital Dog), who have remixed and produced for an impressive roster of artists including Timbaland, Cyndi Lauper, 50 Cent, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Fatboy Slim, and many more. They give “Levitate” a turbo-injected rebuild, and it sounds like a larger-than-life rave score for arena parties. The Wideboys' Club Mix of “Comin’ in Hot” dares to upstage the original version with a mix that closely echoes the slashed and spliced cut-up production of Justice. Party rocker Andrew W.K. gives his instant-anthem magical Midas touch to “My Town.” Rather than turning “Hear Me Now” into a completely different song, Korn's Jonathan Davis treats the tune like a stock car to be outfitted with a select grip of flashy accessories. Borgore takes a different approach with “I Don’t Wanna Die,” stripping the song to its skeletal frame before rebuilding it with haunting organ and distorted synths.

My favorite band is slowly getting worse. American Tragedy was a dissappointing step down from Swan Songs.. And now this? I cant believe my favorite band who was so original and unique are a mainstream band.. I just dont get it.

Really guys?...
To those who are bashing on HU for doing this "Redux", stop complaining. HU wanted to try something new and it's not like this is their official "LATEST ALBUM" or anything, it's a "REDUX". Leave them alone, it's pretty cool honestly. Gives you a different take on "American Tragedy", which was a completely solid album in my opinion. 5/5
