Chill out, reviewers- if millions of 1970's tough minded Philadelphia Flyers fans can get behind 'God Bless America' , you can warm up to this song. This song is better, and I'm one who prefers Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner to the others out there. The interplay between the guitar and piano is well done, the melody is quite beautiful and the voices of the artists inspirational OK, it's sentimental and can use a jolt from U2's or the Boss's more edgy guitar and singing, but it is notable by having Bono , in his trademark voice sing passionately to honor America with the words- Let liberty and justice ring for all Let your dreams stand tall Let opportunities fall upon you The land of the free After listening to this song, you can listen to U2's new 'Get On Your Boots' (4 star) or the Boss's new 'Good Eye' ( 5 star) to make you feel more macho again. And by the way, watching Obama take over as President HAS created more patriotism and inspiration in America and around the world. This song is a fine tribute to this change SMO

this is a great song. i love it. all the singers are amazing. I think this is a great song and has a great message! i think that this song was written very well and the lyrics are touching. I'm very sorry if your candidate did not win but please don't hate the song. Yes America was great before Obama but America is showing the World that we can change with us eleciting Obama. again this is is beautiful a i highly recomend you buying.

Like a fine gospel song, uplifting, optimistic, well recorded, and well sung. Critics please leave your politics at the door. Perhaps you didn't read the tips for reviews -- "Do not use language that can be construed as hateful, especially in regards to lifestyle, religion or race." Assess the music on its own terms.
