I think that itunes should sell the movie too. its a real good movie. hopefully soon they will add it to the itunes store
Punk Comes Back… in Mexico !
Along with Y Tu Mama Tambien, Amores Perros -- the soundtrack, just like the movie -- showcases emerging and existing sounds coming out of Mexico. This sound is raw, energetic, hipnotic and sweet -- all at the same time. I love how the music parallels the dynamics of the film: the graphic violence and gritty low-life by Control Machete; dream-state and sweet moments in life by Julieta Venegas and Café Tacuba; mischievous fun by Titan; and traditional life by Celia Cruz. And not to forget the surrealist moments that Gustavo Santaolalla creates with his short cinematic compositions -- these are like a narrator's voice in a good movie. I highly recommend this soundtrack, and see the movie too.
