Customer Reviews
If you don't like this, you listen to too much Radiohead.
Radiohead has the luxury and challenge of being one of the most listened to and analyzed bands there is. The songs here are well-written; they are a good listen. I'm giving this five stars because the Itunes rating system is ridiculous. In a system where musicians get five stars from every fan and one star from every non-fan, Thom deserves five stars. For people who would give Radiohead and it's members at least 4 stars for an entirely silent record (Rolling Stone), I have this to say: stop ruining it.
why not take it from a perspective thats not radiohead?
thom yorke isnt trying to sound anything like radiohead which is why his b-sides are so amazing he has dived so deep into a new creative sense he has-electronica the only signs of this interest can be seen on kid a and most of amnesiac you can't say you know where thom is going with his songs on his solo-debut because the only similarity it has to radiohead is his singing and even that is more clear and crisp Iluvya is obviously just something Thom was playing around with and that is why it's not on the album he has made an incredible solo album with such a different sound and I think you idiot on itunes dont know shite about him or what he wants to produce
Decent enough
I'm a huge Radiohead/Thom Yorke fan, so naturally I was going to purchase this for my collection. And while Analyse is a fantastic song, the B-Sides are disappointing. A Rat's Nest is the better one, and while it doesn't go terribly anywhere, it sets a very interesting and dark atmosphere. Iluvya, Eno-ish in style, is the sore spot of this EP. It's goofy and repetitive--way out of style of Mr. Yorke. The Harrowdown Hill EP is definitely superior. For Radiohead fans, definitely get it. Otherwise, if you're just curious about Mr. Yorke, check out some of his other work, and don't let this leave a bad taste in your mouth.
