Luxvivens is right...
I COMPLETELY mis-read the history of the Opiates and falsely assumed that DJ Hell and Mark Moore were involved in it and, alas, they were not, HOWEVER - it is STILL an amazing piece of work!
SUPER HOT dark electro
I got the promo of this last week, bought the 10" vinyl, now i just got the instrumental tracks, Billie Ray Martin is flawless as always! "Hollywood Under The Knife" is the full album hopefully out sometime soon....
different in a good way
As a die-hard Billie Ray Martin fan, I must have everything the woman breathes on! That includes this release, which explores a more dark-electro side of the music spectrum. The songwriting is crafty and right on par with BRM standards. Her Oprah song is also on her Demos 2003 CD (also avail here on iTunes) but it's changed up a bit on here. I love her constant references to Hollywood, glam, movie stars, and fake people. My favorite moment on this entire release is about 2 minutes into the Anatomy song...the chilling electro fever you will experience for sure!
