The Real Deal
Unlike Brian DeMarco's more produced album, "Solitary Bird", and his genre jumping, "Bend Don't Break" which explores blues, bluegrass, country and folk, "Angel Face" is a darker, more raw and stripped down effort from the prolific songwriter. The songs are very emotive and somewhat eerie, but always extremely engaging. It is reminiscent of some of Dylan's early work and has touches of Townes Van Zandt as well. His artist voice is mature and unique and the songs are lyrically thought provoking. When it comes to songwriting he is definitely the real deal!
They may be friends, but they are also very good
If you need home grown folk with a bluegrass kiss, this is where you click buy. Brian DeMarco and his lovely Lisa gained widespread popularity in Flagstaff, Arizona. Brian played with many of the local players in bands that are still missed today. If you have a chance to catch DeMarco live...TAKE IT!!! They are beautiful people that just happen to be excellent musicians. Flag misses you guys.
