Powerful Voice of the Environment & the Heart
Dana is a gifted songwriter who champions the environment and those who fight to protect it. His songs transcend being written 'for a purpose' - standing along as excellent music in their own right. He layers in poignant love (and lost) stories as well ("Kevin's Song", "June Is a Comin'"). From haunting songs ("I Saw His Body", "The Tree", "The Company's Been Good to Me") to humor ("RV", "Our State is a Dumpsite") - he is surprisingly diverse as a one-man show. Settle up next to the campfire and enjoy!
Dana, From Porches to iPods
When I was younger, Dana Lyons would come to my neighborhood in Alger WA, and we used to all sing together. Dana is an extremely talented musicion, and he is also a great person. I'll never forget when all us little girls were his back up singers for the song WTO, or Red White and Blue. You won't regret supporting such an amazing man.
Love every song
This is one of those albums that stands the test of time. I love every cut and listen all the way through. It's not often that every song on an album is a quality song with a heartfelt message. Not to make you sound old, Dana, but I grew up with these songs and I just had a baby of my own and I wanted to buy some albums for her to grow up with too. :). Keep it up!!
