iTunes Review

Ace Frehley’s fifth solo outing picks right up where his celebrated 1978 self-titled album left off and his fans are in for a treat with 2009’s Anomaly as he self-produced most of it to sound like classic KISS-era Ace without resorting to retro throwback novelty. His vocals sound strong and young, while the guitar playing reminds us of his otherworldly prowess. “Foxy & Free” tears the roof off with heavy pedaling riffs, a meat-and-potatoes rhythm section, stellar guitar tone, and a catchy chorus punctuated by an upfront cowbell that would make Christopher Walken proud. “Outer Space” furthers Space Ace’s foray into the cosmos, and he gloriously revisits U.K. glitter rock with a cover of Sweet’s “Fox On The Run” that’s close to his awesome ’78 take on Hello’s “New York Groove.” Anomaly even ends with "Fractured Quantum," the fourth part in his "Fractured Mirror" instrumental series that began in 1978. “The Return Of Space Bear” is an iTunes-only exclusive track.

This is great

by WTF..People

I really was reluctant to purchase this cd, but well it's at least 10 times better than the new Kiss cd. This is what they should have done, but alas, they can't. Not without Ace. Great guitar riffs, real smooth flow, and all done with the true hard rock edge, not pop rock. I was reluctant to like this, but the first 2 songs reach out and grab you by the balls. Great cover of Fox on the Run, originaly done by Sweet. This is a must have CD for any Ace, or Kiss fan...

I have to say I was completely blown away. It was way better than I could have ever expected he has truly grown as an artist. The cool thing is its hard hitting riffs and effortless playing style show he is still the master of the Axe.
truly Rock and Roll with some soul is back. The blues influence is clear and comes though. If you are a looking for a Rock God to emulate or model your skills after look no further.

Thanks Ace Man you Rock

Gene and Paul : Consider this another musical vasectomy!
